GUSTAV MEYRINK PETROLEUM PETROLEUM

ENGLISH TRANSLATION OF GUSTAV MEYRINK'S SHORT STORY PETROLEUM PETROLEUM (1903) IN WHICH HE FORESAW THE BP GULF OF MEXICO OIL SPILL

Gustav Meyrink Petroleum, Petroleum (1903)

To make sure I'm credited with being the first who had this prophecy, I note that the following story was written in 1903.
Gustav Meyrink

It was Friday - noon - that Dr. Kunibald Jessegrim poured the strychnine slowly into the stream. A fish appeared on the surface - dead - with the belly up.

"That's how dead you would be," said Jessegrim to himself and stretched himself, - glad that he had thrown the thoughts of suicide away with the poison.

Three times in his life he had already seen death in the eye this way, and each time he was held back by a feeling that he was still going to be called on to do great things - a great, all-encompassing vengeance - which chained him to life again.

The first time he wanted to end his life was when they stole his invention - then years later, when they chased him from his job because he did not stop pursuing and exposing the thief of his invention, - and now, because - - because - -

Kunibald Jessegrim groaned as the thought of his great sorrow came to live again.

- Everything was gone - all he cared for - everything he once treasured and held dear. - And only the blind, narrow-minded, baseless hatred, of a crowd, fired up by slogans, which was against everything that was different had done this to him.

- All the things he had done, invented and proposed. Hardly had he started, he had to stop - before him the "Chinese Wall": the love of people the average and the catchword "but".

- - - "Scourge of God" - yes, that is the name of salvation. - Good Lord, Almighty. Let me be a destroyer - a Attila! - The anger flared inJessegrim's heart.

- Timur Lenk, the Genghis Khan, as he limps through Asia anddevastated Europe's farmlands with his Mongol reign - the Vandal leaders who can only find peace on the ruins of Roman works of art - they were all his kind - strong, untamed brothers, born in an eagle's nest.

- An immense, boundless love for these creatures of the God Shiva awoke in him. - The ghosts of these dead will be with me, he felt - and a different entity entered his body - like lightning.

If at that moment he had been able to see himself in a mirror the wonders of the transformation would have remained no longer a puzzle. - - Thus, the dark forces of nature fall into the blood of man - deeply and quickly.

Dr. Jessegrim had a profound knowledge - he was a chemist, and he had stamina. - In America, people like that are successful, - No wonder he soon had money - wealth even.

He had settled in Tampico in Mexico, and through trade in mezcal, a new drug used in the narcotics and medical trade, which he knew how to prepare chemically, he made millions. He owned many square miles of land around Tampico, and the enormous amount of oil wells promised to increase his fortune immeasurably.

But that was not what his heart longed for.

New Year's moved into the land.

- 'Tomorrow will be the first of January 1951, and the Creoles will again have a reason to get drunk and dance the Fandango for three days," thought Dr. Jessegrim and looked down at the silent sea from his balcony.

And in Europe it won't be much better. At this time already the newspapers appear in Austria - twice as big and four times as stupid as normal. The new year depicted as a naked boy, fresh calendar with women with wings and horns of plenty, statistical oddities: that on Tuesday 11 clock 35 minutes 16 seconds afternoon exactly 9 billion seconds had elapsed, since the inventor of double entry bookkeeping closed his eyes for a well-deserved eternal rest - and so on."

Dr. Jessegrim sat for a long time, gazing at the motionless sea, which shone so particular in the starlight.

Until the clock struck twelve. - Midnight! -

He took out his watch and wound it up slowly, until his fingertips felt the resistance of the remontoire. - Softly, he pressed against it and and then harder and harder... there - - a faint crackling, the spring broke, the clock stood still.

- - - Dr. Jessegrim laughed sarcastically: "Like this I also want to break your springs, you precious -"

A terrible explosion shook up the city. The sound came from far away, from the south, skippers thought origin of the phenomenon located around the vicinity of the great peninsula - between Tampico and Vera Cruz. - No one has seen a fire - the light towers also gave no signals. - - Thunder? - Now? - With a clear sky! - - Impossible. - Must have been an earthquake.

- Everybody crossed himself, - only the barkeepers cursed, as all the guests ran out of the bars and had gone to the hills of the city where they told each other scary stories.

Dr. Jessegrim took no notice of this, he had gone into his study and hummed something like: "Farewell, my country Tirol -"

He was in a good mood and took a map out of the drawer, created a circle with a compass on it, - comparing it with his notebook and was pleased that everything was correct: the oil region stretched until Omaha, perhaps even further north, there was no longer doubt about that, and he knew that the oil fields formed underground lakes as big as the Hudson Bay.

He knew it, he had calculated it - he had worked on it for twelve years.

All of Mexico in his opinion sat on caves in the earth's interior, which for the most part, at least the ones filled with oil, were connected to each other.

Removing the remaining walls between the caves underground one after another had become his life's work. - For years he had employed large groups of workers to do this - and at what cost of money!

The many millions he had earned with the trade in mezcal, had been spent on it.

Had he ever hit an oil well - it would have been over. - The government of course would've immediately impounded the explosives, who were always uncooperative anyway.

- Tonight the last walls between the caves will have fallen - to the sea, - at the peninsula - and the ones further north at San Luis Potosi.

- Automatic devices taking care of the explosions.

Dr. Kunibald Jessegrim put the last few remaining thousand dollar bills in his pocket, and went to the train station. - At four of the clock in the morning an express train would go to New York. - What should keep him in Mexico?

Right, there it was already in all the newspapers - the original telegram from the coastal towns of the Mexican Gulf in the abbreviations of the International Cable-Code: "Ephraim Kalbsniere Beerenschleim", which translates roughly: "sea completely covered with petroleum, cause unknown, everything stinks far and wide. The state governor."

The Yankees were very interested, because the event should without a doubt make a big impact on the stock market and oil prices, - transferring wealth is half of life! - - the bankers on Wall Street, questioned by the government whether the event would cause a rise or fall in share prices, shrugged their shoulders and refused to comment, not before the cause of the event was known, - then OK- - if one would do the opposite of the people invested in the stock market, which the brain commands, one could make a lot of money.

- The message had no big impact on the minds of people in Europe - first of all they were protected by tariffs, and secondly, new laws were in the making, which by introducing a so-called three-year voluntary limit on the number of conscripts, combined with the abolition of the family names of male individuals would fuel patriotism and should make military duty better suited to the soul.

- - - Meanwhile, the oil flowed, exactly as Dr. Jessegrim had calculated, without a problem from the underground caves in Mexico into the sea and formed a shining layer, which became bigger and bigger and, driven by the gulf stream, soon seemed to cover the entire gulf.

- - - The shores were barren, and the population withdrew into the interior of the country. - Pity for the blooming towns!

Also the sight of the lake was awfully more beautiful, - a boundless space, gleaming and shimmering in all colors: red, green and violet, - - as deep, deep black, as fantasies out of fairy tale stars.

- The oil was thicker than petroleum usually seemed to be, and showed by its contact with the salty sea water no change other than that it gradually lost its smell.

- - - Scholars said that a precise study of the causes of this phenomenon would be of high scientific value, and as Dr. Jessegrim's reputation in the country - at least as a professional and an expert on Mexican oil reserves - was known, they didn't forget to ask his opinion too. - It was short and sweet, even though it did not cover the subject in the the way they expected: "If the oil continues flowing at the same rate as before, according to my calculations in 27-29 weeks all oceans on Earth will be covered with it and rainfall will never occur in the future, as water can not evaporate anymore - in the best case scenario, when it rains it will only rain oil. "-

- - -This frivolous prophecy caused a storm of disapproval, but gained credibility by the day, and as the invisible flows didn't seem to slow down, - on the contrary, seemed to increase quite extraordinarily, a panic fell over all mankind.

Every hour new reports from the observatories of America and Europe could be read, - yes, even the observatory in Prague, which until then had only photographed the moon had started gradually to turn to the strange new phenomena.

In the Old World soon, no one spoke of the new Army Bill, and the father of the bill, employed in a European army, Major Dressel Knightvon Glubinger ab Zinkski auf Trottelgrün, was quite forgotten.

As always in times of confusion, when signs of disaster threaten in the sky, the voices of restless spirits presented themselves, never satisfied with what exists, dare to touch venerable institutions: "Away with the military, which eats, eats, eats our money!

- Better build machines, invent means to save the despairing humanity from the oil" - - - But we can't do that, - warned the military, one can not deprive all at once so many millions of people of their livelihood!

- - - "Why without livelihood? The troops only need to be dismissed - after all, each of them has learned something, even if only menial work," was the reply.

- - - "Well, - OK - the troops! - But what do we do with the many officers?"

- - - That was a weighty reason.

For a long time the opposing opinions went back and forth, and no party could gain the upper hand until the coded cable message from New York arrived: "Stachelschwein pfundweise BauchfellentzündungAmerika," - translated that is, - "Oil wells are constantly increasing, situation extremely dangerous. Telegraph immediately whether the odor there is also unbearable. Warm regards! America."

- - That was the last straw!

- A popular speaker - a wild fanatic - rose up, - as powerful as a tower of strength - fascinating - drove by the power of his speech the people ill thought out deeds.

"Free the soldiers - stop with this gimmick, - let the officers make themselves useful for once. - Let's give them new uniforms, it it makes them happy - for all I care frog green with red spots. - And to the sea-shore with them, there they should gather the oil with blotting paper, while mankind contemplates how to control the terrible calamity"

- - The crowd cheered in approval.

- - The ideas that such measures could have no effect whatsoever, that it could be better resolved with chemicals, found no supporters.

- "We know - we know everything," - they said. "But then what to do with the many unnecessary officers, - eh?

Why Intelligent People Fail (from http://www.acceleratingfuture.com/michael/works/intelligentfailure.htm)

Why Intelligent People Fail
Content from Sternberg, R. (1994). In search of the human mind. New York: Harcourt Brace.

1. Lack of motivation. A talent is irrelevant if a person is not motivated to use it. Motivation may be external (for example, social approval) or internal (satisfaction from a job well-done, for instance). External sources tend to be transient, while internal sources tend to produce more consistent performance.

2. Lack of impulse control. Habitual impulsiveness gets in the way of optimal performance. Some people do not bring their full intellectual resources to bear on a problem but go with the first solution that pops into their heads.

3. Lack of perserverance and perseveration. Some people give up too easily, while others are unable to stop even when the quest will clearly be fruitless.

4. Using the wrong abilities. People may not be using the right abilities for the tasks in which they are engaged.

5. Inability to translate thought into action. Some people seem buried in thought. They have good ideas but rarely seem able to do anything about them.

6. Lack of product orientation. Some people seem more concerned about the process than the result of activity.

7. Inability to complete tasks. For some people nothing ever draws to a close. Perhaps it’s fear of what they would do next or fear of becoming hopelessly enmeshed in detail.

8. Failure to initiate. Still others are unwilling or unable to initiate a project. It may be indecision or fear of commitment.

9. Fear of failure. People may not reach peak performance because they avoid the really important challenges in life.

10. Procrastination. Some people are unable to act without pressure. They may also look for little things to do in order to put off the big ones.

11. Misattribution of blame. Some people always blame themselves for even the slightest mishap. Some always blame others.

12. Excessive self-pity. Some people spend more time feeling sorry for themselves than expending the effort necessary to overcome the problem.

13. Excessive dependency. Some people expect others to do for them what they ought to be doing themselves.

14. Wallowing in personal difficulties. Some people let their personal difficulties interfere grossly with their work. During the course of life, one can expect some real joys and some real sorrows. Maintaining a proper perspective is often difficult.

15. Distractibility and lack of concentration. Even some very intelligent people have very short attention spans.

16. Spreading oneself too think or too thick. Undertaking too many activities may result in none being completed on time. Undertaking too few can also result in missed opportunities and reduced levels of accomplishment.

17. Inability to delay gratification. Some people reward themselves and are rewarded by others for finishing small tasks, while avoiding bigger tasks that would earn them larger rewards.

18. Inability to see the forest for the trees. Some people become obsessed with details and are either unwilling or unable to see or deal with the larger picture in the projects they undertake.

19. Lack of balance between critical, analytical thinking and creative, synthetic thinking. It is important for people to learn what kind of thinking is expected of them in each situation.

20. Too little or too much self-confidence. Lack of self-confidence can gnaw away at a person’s ability to get things done and become a self-fulfilling prophecy. Conversely, individuals with too much self-confidence may not know when to admit they are wrong or in need of self-improvement.

Being Alone/ Silence/ Meditating/ Polarity

In crisis time its interesting that people are faced with their own thoughts when they are alone, being restricted to their house. For some its very difficult, as people are used to interacting with others. This typically happens in times of floods, storms, social unrest etc. There is some aspect of fear and also feling of being isolated from the world.

However, people do not understand that alone really being "alone", the way normally interpreted. ALONE = ALL ONE, being alone gives one the opportunity to reach the point of "I AM ONE WITH ALL". Moment you are alone all the other human beings can connect with you energetically. As against the time when one is talking to people or seeing TV, or engaged in mental chatter.

We are in illusion that world around is real and so isolation gets very scary. So some people can not be without TV/ Radio being on. When people are alone, they start to hear their own thought. Then when you reach silence, you start to hear the thoughts of your own higher soul. Aloneness is the bounty of our existence. When we feel incomplete or freightened due to no activity.

When we are silent and alone, the childhood program first comes up - like "idle had is devil's workshop". And so one starts to feel negative. So people start to distract themselves and fill thier day with so much of activity that they cannot complete it.

Some ancient civilization worshipped God as darkness. Now people look for light. When you look at darkness, there is amazing thing there called silence. Gnostic say - Darkness is source of light. Light has to be sourced somewhere. One has to have Darkness and one had to have Light. Thats possibly one reason why its important not to attach so much importance to light. Dark and Light both have their own purpose. They are two different manifestation. Its just that they look different from two different angles. There are one from a different point of view. Thats the concept of trinity. From the point of trinity it all appears harmonized. So its about migration from bi-polar thinking to trinity thinking. Possibly getting fourth dimension thinking thereafter.

It also relates to concept of birth and death and two points. One extends to beyond that then one can extend to infinity. We came here specifically creating this polar reality for specific reason. But also enjoy them from knowing that there is all one. We keep running from good to bad and vice versa. This is delusion. To come out of delusion one needs to think as trinity and map the three points. There are multiple experiences that demonstrate, so called negative experience turned into something positive. Instead of saying that a period was bad. One can say it to be a stimulating week.

There is another factor, when things are not the way we expect it to be, we resist more and more. When we resist then we energize it more and more. Letting go and accepting it, possibly makes it better.

Instead being stuck in own head, one would be better of rising above and ascend higher and have good view of things. We have a belief of reality which is very different from other's belief of reality.

Solitary Confinement is like a forced meditation. As we get go into our silence and know our deeper aspects, we come to know that we have multiple lives in a continum.

Also some people find difficult meditating when they are on their own in the house. Thats because we have thought form of guilt attached to meditation. We were told meditation is day dreaming. In actual reality there was no such thing as day dreaming, it was more like problem solving at different level. So when we start to meditate in our house, the old thought forms activate and tell us some task to do. The child's ability to meditate is destroyed in the process of education and the interaction with adults in early years. Sometimes even on the report card, child gets written "day dreaming". When the eyes are relaxing, its like we are getting upload download from the higher soul. Its important to allow that to finish. When we do not allow that upload/ download then its very stressful. So when you designate a particular spot then over a period it will be better to meditate as the attached thought forms will slowly diminish. Its important to restore our ability to meditate. One of things important here is to get out feeling that we need to be "on" all the time.

Sometimes the distrubances may be due to what was seen on radio/ tv or other things that we come across. Sometimes the image is stronger if it is also related to past life experiences. The imprint, especially if the brain has negative connotation to them, is retained in our brain center (for assocation with fear) and it triggers of when a related image comes up. We also need to know that we are sovereign on our own thought process. We do not know that we are sovereign. When we activate that then the thought process is in your control. One can stop and switch to a another thought or a physical thing that is comfortable. So when we snap ourselves away from such intrusive thoughts, its very empowering. One needs to know that sometimes, if one is not at particular higher frequency then one would enerize the thought instead of killing it. So do not empower them by struggling, posssibly tap through them.

Difference between appraisal and resignation

A newly joined trainee engineer asks his boss "what is the meaning of appraisal?"

Boss: "Do you know the meaning of resignation? "

Trainee: "Yes I do"

Boss: "So let me make you understand what a appraisal is by comparing it with resignation"

Comparison study : Appraisal and Resignation

In appraisal meeting they will speak only about your weakness, errors and failures.

In resignation meeting they will speak only about your strengths, past achievements and success.

In appraisal you may need to cry and beg for even 10% hike.

In resignation you can easily demand (or get even without asking) more than 50-60% hike.

During appraisal, they will deny promotion saying you didn't meet the expectation, you don't have leadership qualities, and you had several drawbacks in our objective/goal.

During resignation, they will say you are the core member of team; you are the vision of the company how can you go, you have to take the project in shoulder and lead your juniors to success.

There is 90% chance for not getting any significant incentives after appraisal.

There is 90% chance of getting immediate hike after you put the resignation.

Trainee: "Yes boss enough, now I understood my future. For an appraisal I will have to resign ... !!!"

Tips For Trading - 2% Rule

Applying the 2 Percent Rule

  1. Calculate 2 percent of your trading capital: your Capital at Risk
  2. Deduct brokerage on the buy and sell to arrive at your Maximum Permissible Risk
  3. Calculate your Risk per Share:
Deduct your stop-loss from the buy price and add a provision for slippage (not all stops are executed at the actual limit). For a short trade, the procedure is reversed: deduct the buy price from the stop-loss before adding slippage.
  4. The Maximum Number of Shares is then calculated by dividing your Maximum Permissible Risk by the Risk per Share.
This rule may not be suitable for long-term traders who enjoy higher risk-reward ratios but lower success rates. The rule should also not be applied in isolation: your biggest risk is market risk where most stocks move in unison. To protect against this we should limit our capital at risk in any one sector and also our capital at risk in the entire market at any one time.

Covariance

The biggest flaw in most risk management systems is that stock movements influence each other. Individual trades are not independent. Markets march in unison and individual stocks follow. Of course there are mavericks: stars that rise in a bear market or collapse in the middle of a bull market, but these are the exception. The majority follow like a flock of sheep.

Thomas Dorsey in Point & Figure Charting gives an example of the risks affecting a typical stock:

Market risk
Sector risk
Stock risk
66%
24%
10%

As a rule of thumb, limit your Total Capital at Risk in any one industry sector to 3 times your (maximum) Capital at Risk per stock (e.g. 6% of your capital if you are using the 2 percent rule). This does not mean that you are limited to holding 3 stocks in any one sector. You may buy a fourth stock when one of your initial 3 trades is no longer at risk (when you have moved the stop up above your breakeven point on the trade); and a fifth when you have covered your risk on another trade; and so on.

Limit your Total Capital at Risk in the market to between 5 and 10 times your (maximum) Capital at Risk per stock (e.g. 10% to 20% of your capital if you are using the 2 percent rule). Adjust this percentage to suit your own risk profile. Also, the shorter your time frame and the higher your Success Rate, the greater the percentage that you can comfortably risk.

Satwa - My Residence in Dubai

This is one of the most affordable central localities and so one finds traffic at all times of day. Especially on account of a circular road that is at centre of this locality. And so once you enter the locality you have see around almost all the shops in the area. Looks like some conspiracy by the local shopkeepers.
Beautiful and Grand Mosque that was built in recent past to add to the glory of this place. Surrounded on both the sides by parking lot so people find it easy and convenient to come and pray here. The parking lot is paid, but during prayer time they give concession to the namazis. If you have some patience there is free parking lot behind the line of houses that you see.

As you see just behind these localities are tall buildings. The buildings that are supposed to be landmarks and pride of Dubai on Famous Sheikh Zayed Road. At the right end you can see the tallest building in World that is under construction. Satwa is in between the Sea and these Building. As you would observe when people looks from the tall buildings towards the sea (other side is the desert and people come to see the seaside when they come to Dubai) they will find this low cost housing locality in between. People speculate that Dubai from this angle will look more like Sudan and so apparently a decision has been taken to demolish this locality and make it a cluster of high-rise localities. Supposedly another jewel in Dubai concrete city.
Common sight in the parking area is fixing of sun screen on car windows. In Satwa you get affordable car service and car accessories. Number of shops to choose from.
You get almost every service that you need. One of the few areas where you get photocopy and typing service at walkable distance. Its easy for find even internet browsing centre, money exchange shops, small grocery shop, novelties shop as well super market. I even found a shop where you exclusively get Hindu Pooja items and statues and such items.
There are few gold jewelllery. Costlier than Gold Souq area but goot variety of 18 K that caters to the neighbourhood's shopping requirement. I was told by one of the shop keepers that Phillipinos prefer to buy 18 K jewellery
Easy to find affordable barber shop. Typically its difficult to locate one in new developments on account of high rentals prevalent there.
Shoe repair shop. This is very difficult to find in other areas of Dubai.
If you want to frame your photographs (in this place that abhors idol worship you will find abstract paintings alongside single-pose photos of local ruler in every shop).
The pierre carding shop. Have seen sale running throughout the year. With 60-75% sale running throughout the year discount shop would be a better idea.
These are road side eateries during ramadan month. Feels like India.

The commonly found shawarma table. Its very popular here. Like vada pav in Mumbai. The are is famous for its eateries. Ravi restaurant is very famous for its non-veg food. I am vegetarian and prefer to eat at home. However, when i need to there is Vandana restaurant, with decent gujarat food very close to my house. Exactly opposite the mosque. This is a landmark. I stay near this place.
This is the bus stop where i normally wait for my bus. Its typically 30 minutes to 1 hour of wait.

How to use the Earth Chakras Aquarius Calendar 2008 to 2009

The timing of a sacred site link-up meditation is very important. For a new moon, begin at the time of inception listed here, and continue for at least one hour. For a full moon, do the opposite: Begin your meditation at least one hour beforehand, and conclude it at the culminating time listed. If a particular new or full moon happens at a time of day that is awkward for you, then do the new moon as soon as you can after the time given, and the full moon prior to the time. Carefully add or subtract the correct hours to adjust the Universal Time to your own locality. The most common mistake made is to forget adjustments for summer time, wherever it is in effect.

In this calendar, you are encouraged to work with the relationship between each new moon and the full moon which follows it two weeks later. Plant your magickal seeds and initiate new things on a new moon. Then expand these new moon experiences as the moon waxes. Finally, work with the full maturity of each lunar month on the full moon. Try to shift the earth energies of the new moon site to the full moon site. If there is an eclipse happening, then this will tend to make that moon stronger in its magickal effect.

For purposes of Earth Chakra Alchemy, each new or full moon concentrates its energies upon a specific sacred site, or earth chakra, area of the world. The primary sacred site focus for each moon is listed, along with its global function. Also, where appropriate, themes that may be incorporated into meditations are given.

Whenever possible, try to do these events outdoors, in nature, at a beautiful and inspirational location. Open your senses to appreciate everything around you. Try to dissolve all boundaries between yourself and all other beings, objects, forces, and energies in your environment. With breath and will, draw the totality of nature's magickal presence into your body and into the centre of your heart. Magnify these gathered forces inside your heart with feelings of intense joy and thanksgiving. Then, with clarity and direction of purpose, emanate this multiplied grace outwards, either silently or by prayer, ritual, and invocation, to the earth chakra specified, and to the world and all living beings on the earth. Beyond this, extend your blessings in all directions throughout the universe.

You may find it useful to collect photos or illustrations of the various sacred sites mentioned. If you don't have a photo, try to imagine, or visualise, the area of the world you are concentrating on. Above all, try to enjoy what you are doing during these "link-up" times. Be clear about your Highest Purpose, and be as creative and as spontaneous as you can on these occasions.

A new 12 year Melchizedek cycle began 13 February 1999 when Jupiter entered Aries. This cycle is based on the movement of Jupiter through the 12 signs of the zodiac. Jupiter remains in each sign for about 1 year. The 12 year pattern begins when Jupiter enters Aries. During the Jupiter in Aries period, many new revelations and projects unfold. Then these new forces are evolved, step by step, during the following 11 years of the pattern. This lunar calendar will observe this Jupiter-Melchizedek cycle.

Learn to find Jupiter in the sky, whenever it is visible. Develop a sense of where Jupiter is, at each new or full moon. In general, Jupiter symbolises joyous thanksgiving, abundance, generosity, and magnification. It is the frequency through which the Immortals communicate. If you visually sight Jupiter, experiment with breathing its reflected light into your body, primarily through the eyes and the brow chakra. Hold each breath for a brief second or two to allow the received light time to be absorbed by your atoms and cells.

If you feel it useful, and find it enjoyable, keep a special journal that only contains your thoughts and experiences derived from every new or full moon that you choose to celebrate. Such a journal could develop into something very helpful to your own personal journey. Enjoy every instant of your life as we build Aquarius.
