23-Sep-2008 - Our Lives
Yesterday my meditation was good and we meditated on Twin Heart by invoking Allah without Om chanting. Instead of Aum they use Amin. Was talking to her about my yesterday's experience with Madonna's song Frozen and learning about Self Love. She also connects to this message and feels that the days when she stretches too much he does not give good darshan. He will push her back and all the work comes to stand still. When she lives life with abandon, let go and love myself feeling the world just conspires to do the things that need to be done.
In my office today I heard that one person has resigned today. Apparently she had to resign because she did let herself go with the flow and instead became very rigid. Anyway, I think she did not have any great regard for me and so this is the second person who is being taken out of my circle of influence in recent past under similar circumstances. I feel its all about being firm and steady in what you believe and want to achieve. The universe will conspire to get the relevant building blocks in its appropriate place.
In my office people keep on wondering as to how i manage to eat same type of food everyday that too without oil just boiled. Little do they understand how easy it is for stomach to get consistent food at consistent timing. Its also about sense control. I have realized that there is no use letting your tongue take control and create health problems later on. Now that I have almost stabilized with this diet its important that I move towards eating more fruits. Cost is a consideration but good energy and physical body are more critical to have in long run. Hope to move ahead in this line at steady pace.
The US market has fallen yesterday and so have Indian Markets. The only problem is that even IT stocks have fallen. I thought such a thing would happen but now need to watch closely to create
- a list of stocks at 11% of peak value
- a list of stocks with good dividend yield
- a list of stocks with good future potential
Most important is to keep tracking the market regularly and filter good information from regular crap so that we are well prepared as and when we are close to bottom. As of now i do not feel we have bottom still. The biggest indication is the fact that with US bailout markets moved 5-6%. This to me implies that there is more bull power that needs to be extracted out. Lets see where it takes our Indian market to. Have a feeling that people, including me, just dont have an idea as to where this market movement is going to end and change its trend.
Here in UAE there is big issue with eviction of villa tenants. People working in low-paid salaries, especially Indian, Pakistani and Filipinos are most affected by this move. On the paper the new round of eviction is due to a fire in one of the villas where 500 people were staying in a villa and lot many people died in the fire. I have a feeling that its about the local authorities are facing problem in holding on to the rentals because of delivery of newly constructed flats. Lot of flats are lying vacant. This is likely to result in lower income to new investors and loss of status of Dubai as Prime Real Estate investment location.
People are exasperated with this development as the many people get very low salary and rental in villa per person is around 600 to 1000 Dirham as against 3000 to 5000 in a flat. Sometimes it feels like low income wage earners are not wanted here in UAE. This is quite surprising in background of the fact that local emiratis just do not want to any manual work that requires effort.
The villa evictions are most likely going to result in exodus of these people and one wonders as to who will be cleaning the roads, running the factories, burning in bakery and restaurant kitchen, serving in supermarket, driving the taxi and doing so many other menial jobs. Even though I earn better than normal asian expat, its quite difficult even for me to manage with such high rental levels.
All said and done we stay here. God bless this country and its Rulers. God bless all the employers and Landlords/ Ladies.
Amin Amin Amin
